Poked and Prodded

Today, after a 3 month wait, I finally got into Mayo Clinic for my appointment. Gundersen couldn't figure me out, so I was hoping Mayo would have something. Result? I still don't know. Not that I expected them to have an answer right away, but an office visit in which they looked at me and said, "this is what you have," right away would have been nice.

So today they went over all my records, test result etc., and asked me questions. I also got more blood taken and and Pelvic Ultra Sound. Which let me tell you, is not all that pleasant. Thank goodness I had a lady technician. It makes it just a little less embarrassing.  I have to have another test done and see a rheumatologist, because apparently there was some inflammation in my back that no one bothered to tell me about. I don't actually have back pain, but they just want everything double checked. They are also checking out my lady part system (sorry Keith) to see if everything is ok there. So I don't really have answers yet, but at least they are exploring other options as well. In the meantime, I have to go back Wed. and keep on all my current medications. Fun Fun.

I could have it worse, so I really shouldn't complain. At least I don't, cross your fingers, have cancer or some other horrible disease. I mean I suppose I might, since they don't seem to know what is wrong with me, but I don't think that's on the top of anyone's list. Thank God. So I will continue to live with the pain and count my blessings.

It would be nice though if I could have a conversation once in awhile that didn't involve what is or is not wrong with me.

  1. Hang in there, chica! I'm just happy you finally had your appointment and they are looking into several other possibilities. Still thinking about you and praying for an answer.
